Key Responsibilities

The Staff Psychiatrist performs advanced psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for patients within a state hospital setting. They lead multi-disciplinary recovery teams to develop, implement, and monitor individualized patient care plans while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree and possess an unrestricted Texas medical license. Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry is required, with a preference for at least three years of psychiatric experience.
