Liberty Resources is seeking a Community Based Therapist to work with our clients in Onondaga and Oswego Counties

Therapist Position Summary
The Community Based Therapist is primarily responsible for providing direct therapeutic and supportive services to children and their birth families in Onondaga and Oswego counties. The Community Based Therapist provides support and guidance to the caregivers of the youth and case management services to enhance the success of the youth and their dynamics within the home and community.
Therapist Job Responsibilities
Complete required assessments and establish medical necessity for all youth in program
Develops and implements treatment plans based on assessment and evaluation and provides input into youth treatment goals for other team members.
Provides psychosocial education and therapy to youth and families in a home-based setting.
Provides crisis management and intervention services both during business hours and thru the after- hours on-call cell service.
Maintains and update case records electronically and in hard case file.
Therapist Qualifications
Licensure (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT) or Limited Permit, and Masters in Social Work or related clinical degree and one (1) year post-graduate experience working with children and adolescents. Must have a valid New York State driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Therapist Required Skills and Abilities
Is sensitive to cultural differences and able to incorporate that understanding into service provision. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are needed. Must be able to work independently and with flexibility in days and hours of work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy are required. Must demonstrate initiative, sound judgement, and an understanding of the issues facing foster children and their families.
Starting Pay: $65,000 per year
