We are seeking a dynamic emergency medicine physician to serve as the assistant

facility medical director at the new MUSC Freestanding Emergency

Department/Urgent Care - West Ashley in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina.

This is an exciting opportunity to join TeamHealth and play a key leadership

role in launching and growing a brand-new facility. As AFMD, you will partner

closely with facility and team leadership to promote clinical excellence,

operational efficiency, clinician engagement, and quality patient care while

maintaining an active clinical practice.

Assistant Facility Medical Director Responsibilities

* Support the facility medical director in overseeing clinical operations

* Foster a culture of quality, safety, and patient-centered care

* Assist with clinician onboarding, mentoring, and engagement

* Participate in quality improvement and performance initiatives

* Collaborate with hospital administration and clinical stakeholders

* Help drive departmental goals and operational excellence

* Promote evidence-based clinical practice and patient satisfaction

* Serve as a physician leader and role model within the department

Qualifications

* Board certified or board eligible in EM (ABEM/AOBEM)

* Current or eligible South Carolina medical license

* Prior leadership experience preferred, but not required

* Strong communication, collaboration, and team-building skills

* Passion for quality patient care and physician leadership
