Key Responsibilities

  • will be certified in and perform BLS and ACLS protocol where required during patient care.
  • must recognize that the assigned faculty member is ultimately responsible for all patient care decisions and act accordingly.
  • Provide responsible, safe, efficient, and compassionate physician practice activities and progressive acquis.
  • Provide patient care under the supervision of a member of the Internal Medicine faculty or other supervising.

Work Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Day shift only - no nights.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a temporary Alabama medical license, an Alabama Controlled Substance Certificate, and qualify for professional liability insurance, while maintaining certification in BLS and ACLS protocols. Residents are expected to adopt an adult learner mentality, actively seeking knowledge and completing required evaluations and an annual In-Training Exam.
