Job Description

Job Title: Independent Medical Evaluator (IME) - Psychologist or Psychiatrist

Location: Ohio (various locations around Ohio are needed)

We are seeking a state-licensed Psychologist (Ph.D. or PsyD.) or a board-certified Psychiatrist (M.D. or D.O.) to join our team as an Independent Medical Evaluator.

This role offers an ideal opportunity for clinicians seeking to transition or expand their practice into Independent Medical Evaluations, while receiving the support needed for a balanced lifestyle.

Job Description

As an IME Provider, you will conduct impartial comprehensive medical evaluations, assess permanent partial impairment, and author objective narrative reports to support claim adjudication and case management. While some specialized onboarding is provided, relevant clinical experience and a strong willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments in accordance with Ohio BWC guidelines and regulations.
  • Perform Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings accurately and objectively using the 5th Edition AMA Guidelines.
  • Document findings and provide clear, concise reports within established timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the highest level of service to our clients.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities.
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD).
  • Board-certified Psychiatrist (MD or DO).
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of Ohio or a state contiguous to Ohio.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Prior experience with IME/impairment rating exams preferred but not required.
