About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assess the state of the patient’s lung health in a systematic and organized manner.

• Provide emergency care, such as artificial respiration or assistance with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

• Read prescription, measure arterial blood gases and review patient information to assess patient condition.

• Monitor patient’s physiological responses to therapy such as vital signs, arterial blood gases or blood chemistry changes and consult with physician if adverse reactions occur.

Requirements

• EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Graduate from an academic and clinical respiratory program accredited by CAAHEP required.

• One or more years’ respiratory experience preferred.

• LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS: Graduate from an academic and clinical respiratory program accredited by CAAHEP.

• Current State licensure as required by the state in which the facility operates.

Work Schedule

• Per Diem position.

• No explicit call, weekend, or night shift information provided.
