Key Responsibilities

  • Sets up equipment and medications.
  • Observes and monitors signs and symptoms, general behavior, general physical response to respiratory care treatment and diagnostic testing, to determine whether abnormal characteristics are exhibited.
  • In collaboration with healthcare team, develops and implements an appropriate care plan based on patient assessment by utilizing respiratory protocols to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree from an AMA-approved Respiratory program, hold a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC, and maintain a valid Connecticut Respiratory Care Practitioner license. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, along with PALS/NRP certification.
