Job Description

Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital

Under the general supervision of the Partial Hospitalization & Intensive Outpatient Programs manager and as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, the primary clinician’s duties include, but are not limited to, providing transitional and comprehensive mental health services, including case management, group and individual therapy, family psychotherapy, and crisis intervention, to a caseload of adults who are high risk for psychiatric hospitalization.

The incumbent will complete psychosocial/functional assessments, mental status examinations, comprehensive treatment plan development, and discharge planning. Coordinate treatment among various agencies and advocate for clients to link with needed resources.

Work with the treatment team and inpatient/outpatient units to facilitate referrals and service.
