Music Therapist

Key Responsibilities

This role involves developing, maintaining, and implementing a planned program of Music Therapy for individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, including structuring sessions and achieving therapeutic goals through music. Key duties include ordering equipment, conducting evaluations, ensuring resident safety, and creating music activities to enhance social, cognitive, communication, and motor skills.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy and maintain credentials under the American Music Therapy Association, with Music Therapy Board Certification being preferred. Experience working with Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities is preferred, alongside a demonstrated ability to develop and implement creative music programs.
