Nurse Practitioner - Urogynecology

Join University of Maryland Emergency Medicine as a Nurse Practitioner – Urogynecology in Maryland. Under general supervision, and in collaboration with physician colleagues, responsible for diagnosing and treating patients. Provides continuity of patient care by facilitating and coordinating communication between the health care team, patient and patient’s family.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical assessment of patients; complete intake prior to patient meeting with the physician.

• Order, obtain and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests; experience performing urodynamic tests.

• Conduct courtesy follow-up postoperative calls to patients.

• Manage in-basket, return patient calls daily, prescription refills.

Requirements

• Demonstrates highly effective verbal and written communication skills are required to interact with patient families, departmental units, medical and nursing staff on all essential matters.

• Maintains updated mandatory training

• Updates immunizations as recommended per practice area EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Master of Science degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program

Benefits & Compensation

• Salary: $110K - $166K
