Respiratory Therapist – Adults Per Diem

Key Responsibilities

The role involves providing evaluation and care for respiratory therapy patients by administering prescribed therapeutic services, performing basic and advanced procedures for various age groups, and managing mechanical ventilation for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Responsibilities also include equipment quality control, effective communication with the healthcare team, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications require a state-specific Respiratory Therapist license (MD, OH, PA, or WV) and one year of relevant experience, with Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. Preferred qualifications include being a Registered Respiratory Therapist and having two years of experience, along with obtaining certifications in ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and Point of Care Technician.
