Carolina Eyecare Physicians | US Eye

Carolina Eyecare Physicians is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our vertically integrated provider team and support staff, serving patients across our Greater Charleston area locations.

Join our expanding team of 14 ophthalmologists and 14 optometrists providing comprehensive eye care throughout our network of clinics and our wholly owned ophthalmic surgery center featuring state-of-the-art technology. For more than 30 years, Carolina Eyecare Physicians has provided exceptional eye care to patients throughout the Charleston region and coastal South Carolina.

Position Highlights

  • Join a fast-paced, high-volume optometric practice
  • - Busy ODs typically see 25–30+ patients per day
  • Fully dedicated team of work-up technicians and diagnostic support
  • Collaborative environment with access to ophthalmology and subspecialty care
  • Highly incentivized compensation plan, with mature practices yielding $200,000+ in compensation
  • Competitive guaranteed base salary during the initial period
  • Sign-on bonus available
  • 4 weeks of vacation, 7 paid holidays, and 5 paid Continuing Education days
  • Minimal call responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school or college of optometry
  • Eligible for or currently holds a South Carolina optometry license
  • Board certification preferred, but not required
  • Strong clinical, communication, and patient-care skills
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, team-oriented environment

Position Type & Location

  • Full-time position serving Carolina Eyecare Physicians locations throughout the Greater Charleston area
  • This position is not based in downtown Charleston
  • Practice location(s) may vary based on patient and operational needs
  • Local travel between Carolina Eyecare Physicians locations may be required
