Crittenton Children's Center is the Kansas City area's premier provider of psychiatric care for children, adolescents and their families. It is located on a picturesque, 96 acre campus in south Kansas City (near Longview Lake) providing serenity, beauty and privacy to assist with the healing process.

For more than 120 years we've cared for the emotional health of Kansas City's children and families. Today we offer one of the area's most comprehensive behavioral health care programs. And we are backed by the complete resources of Saint Luke's Health System.

We are currently seeking a part time night Behavioral Health Tech.

Assists in providing a safe and therapeutic milieu environment for all patients in compliance with agency policies and procedures.

Observes reports and records patient behaviors under the supervision of RN. Implements the behavioral interventions described in the treatment plan.

  • Conducts educational and treatment focused groups with patients as appropriate with training and supervision.
  • May be trained as CMT to administer meds to long term residential population.
  • Hours are 7p-7:30a, 24 hours/week
  • Job Requirements

Applicable Experience

  • Less than 1 year
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Mandt Certified - Various

Key Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Tech assists in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for patients by observing and recording behaviors. They also implement behavioral interventions and facilitate treatment-focused groups under the supervision of an RN.

Requirements

Candidates must have less than one year of applicable experience and hold Basic Life Support certification. Additionally, Mandt certification is required for this role.
