Outstanding Opportunity for a Pediatric Surgeon to Join
Prestigious Children’s Health System in Naples, FL
Nicklaus Children's Health System and Nicklaus Children's Pediatric Specialists (NCPS), the health system's physician-led multispecialty group practice, have an opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible Pediatric Surgeon to join a nationally recognized pediatric healthcare organization. This position offers comprehensive surgical care for patients ranging from premature newborns through adolescents and young adults in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. Nicklaus Children’s and Naples Comprehensive Health are partnering to develop the future Van Domelen Institute for Women’s and Children’s Health, which will expand the pediatric ambulatory network and increase access to specialized pediatric care throughout Collier County. This is an exciting opportunity to join and help grow the pediatric surgery team while contributing to the development of the future Institute.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency
- Completion of a two-year ACGME- or RCPSC-accredited Pediatric Surgery Fellowship
- Board certified in General Surgery and board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Surgery
- Current BLS certification
- Active, unrestricted medical license (or eligibility for Florida licensure)
Demonstrated operative experience across the spectrum of pediatric surgical care, including neonatal surgery, trauma, and critical care
Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills
Practice Overview
Establish and grow a dedicated Pediatric Surgery Service Line serving Collier County and surrounding Southwest Florida communities.
Shape clinical protocols, referral pathways, quality initiatives, and program development as a founding physician of the service line.
Participate in the continued growth of pediatric services aligned with the long-term vision for pediatric expansion and future development of a Women's and Children's Institute in Collier County.
Belong to a nationally recognized pediatric healthcare organization while enjoying the resources, reputation, and clinical excellence of Nicklaus Children's, consistently ranked among the nation's leading children's hospitals.
Serve a rapidly growing pediatric population with a demonstrated need for local pediatric surgical care, helping reduce the need for families to travel outside the community for treatment.
Practice a full spectrum of pediatric general surgery, including inpatient, outpatient, elective, emergency, and neonatal cases, supported by a growing pediatric infrastructure.
Collaborate closely with an established network of community pediatricians, pediatric subspecialists, emergency medicine providers, anesthesiologists, and hospital leadership committed to developing pediatric services in the region.
Join Nicklaus Children's Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) as a Pediatric Surgeon in beautiful Naples, Florida, and play a foundational role in building a new pediatric surgery program through the strategic partnership between Nicklaus Children's Health System and North Naples Hospital (NCH).

Our academic affiliation is with Florida International University (FIU). This position is eligible to apply for a faculty appointment at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
