Key Responsibilities
The Intensivist performs patient assessments, manages mechanical ventilation, and coordinates care for critically ill patients in the ICU. They also document clinical progress, order diagnostic tests, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and have completed an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. Current certification in critical care or by the NCCPA, along with BCLS and ACLS certifications, is required.
