Key Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering safe respiratory care, monitoring mechanical ventilation, and performing patient assessments. They also assist with airway management, diagnostic procedures, and patient education within a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
Candidates must hold an Associate’s degree or postsecondary certificate from an accredited respiratory therapy program. Required certifications include a state license (RCP), Basic Life Support (BCLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
