Key Responsibilities
The QMHP provides comprehensive mental health care in a correctional setting, which includes performing intake, assessments, crisis intervention, and treatment planning. Duties also involve consulting with a multi-disciplinary team, case management, and delivering individual and group therapy.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Master's level degree in a relevant field such as Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling, along with an active independent mental health professional license in Illinois (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LSW). A minimum of two years of direct care experience with mentally ill individuals is preferred.
