Position Summary
Reporting to the Respiratory Department Manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for demonstrating proficiency in the use/operation of respiratory equipment and provision of respiratory treatment to assigned age specific patient population (e. g. infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics) and participates in related continuing education.
Provides care to assigned patients according to professional standards and established procedures, using good judgment and personal initiative. Administers medication as prescribed by a physician and performs the drawing and analysis of blood gasses. Other duties assigned as per scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for operating respiratory equipment and providing treatments to patients across all age groups. They also perform blood gas analysis and administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
Requirements
Candidates must have completed an accredited Respiratory Care program and hold a current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP, with three years of recent acute care experience preferred.
