What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Psychiatric Emergency Clinician I independently conducts child, youth, and adult 5585/5150 evaluations and releases per 5585/5150 regulations.

The Psychiatric Emergency Clinician II is the primary clinician for engaging and educating members served, families, and significant others in crisis stabilization, treatment, level of care determination, and mental health recovery.

Serves as a liaison to community programs and develops strategic partnerships to enhance aftercare plans of members served and their families.

Shifts Available

On-Call | AM | Shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Days vary as needed

Expected starting wage range is $43.04 - $53.15. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent from an accredited college or university
  • Two (2) years of direct service experience in a behavioral health setting
  • Waived Clinician as ACSW, APCC or AMFT and completion of all prelicensure classes
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 30 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employment
  • All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply

Key Responsibilities

The clinician conducts independent mental health evaluations and provides crisis stabilization for adults in a locked facility. They also serve as a primary liaison to community programs to develop and implement effective aftercare plans for members and their families.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field and possess at least two years of direct behavioral health experience. Current certification in CPR, CPI, and First Aid is required, along with active status as an ACSW, APCC, or AMFT.
