Job Description
Job title: Addiction Counselor – Outpatient and IOP (CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC or LCADC)
Pay: $26.00–$36.50 per hour, based on credentials and experience
Renewing Me Behavioral Health Solutions is seeking an Addiction Counselor to provide substance use treatment in our outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs. We are a CARF-accredited behavioral health agency serving people with substance use and co-occurring mental health needs. This role includes individual counseling, group facilitation, treatment planning, and coordination with our clinical team. Experience working with adults and/or adolescents is welcome.
What You’ll Do
- Facilitate IOP and outpatient counseling groups using practical, evidence-based approaches.
- Provide individual substance use counseling and help consumers build recovery and relapse prevention skills.
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, ASAM reviews, progress notes, and discharge plans on time.
- Coordinate care with therapists, the prescriber, and other team members.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and quality improvement activities.
What We’re Looking For
An active Maryland credential appropriate for the assigned substance use counseling duties, such as CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, or LCADC. Applicants with another applicable Maryland clinical license and substance use treatment experience are also encouraged to apply.
- Experience providing substance use counseling, including group facilitation.
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with ASAM criteria and care for people with co-occurring conditions is preferred.
