Key Responsibilities

• Conducts well-timed follow-up case reviews on all concurrent cases, prioritizing those with clinical documentation clarifications.
• Serves as a CDI department liaison to new physician on-boarding. Assists CDI Manager with auditing CDS accounts.
• Collaborates with HIM staff to resolve discrepancies with DRG assignments and other coding issues.
• Transcribes documentation clarifications for SOI, ROM, PSI, HCCs, and HACs to ensure compliance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Maintains CCDS credentialing. Assumes responsibility for professional growth, development, and continuing education to maintain proficiency.

• Utilize and demonstrate excellent critical-thinking, problem-solving, and deductive-reasoning skills. [Required]
• Knowledge of pathophysiology, disease processes, and treatments. [Required]

• Pay Range: $72,786.83 – $135,385.27

Work Schedule

• Shift Information: Monday to Friday, 40 hrs – Flexible hours may be between 6:00 a. m. – 6:30 p. m
• Initiates and formulates CDI severity worksheets and clinically credible clarifications for inpatients
