Key Responsibilities

The Hospitalist is responsible for providing direct inpatient clinical care and managing medical problems for acutely ill, hospitalized, adult, non-surgical patients. This role involves leading the interdisciplinary team to enhance efficiency and facilitate the continuum of care from patient admission through discharge.

Requirements

Candidates must have residency and board certification in the area of specialty (Hospital Medicine/Internal Medicine), although board eligible physicians will be considered provided certification is obtained within four years of eligibility. Duties require upholding the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct while acting in the best interest of Sentara Medical Group.
