Key Responsibilities

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) is responsible for implementing the plan of care established by the Occupational Therapist of Record (OTR/L) and physician, ensuring professional and competent quality of care. Key duties include screening residents, carrying out treatment programs, monitoring progress, assisting with assessments and discharge planning, and supervising therapy aides.

Requirements

Candidates must possess an associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program and meet all state and national board licensure requirements, holding an active state license. Essential qualifications include knowledge of AOTA ethics, ability to supervise aides, excellent organizational and communication skills, and commitment to company policies and functional fundamentals.
