Pre-Admission Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Job Description
Banner Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join the Pre-Admission Testing team at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, Colorado. The role involves performing comprehensive physical examinations, primarily focusing on cardiac and pulmonary issues, and coordinating diagnostic tests to prepare surgical patients for procedures. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no call, weekends, or holidays, and requires travel to McKee Medical Center as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations on surgical patients, with emphasis on cardiac and pulmonary issues.
- Coordinate and interpret diagnostic tests to assess patient health and identify clinical problems.
- Record physical findings and develop care plans and prognoses based on patient conditions.
- Discuss cases with physicians and anesthesia providers as necessary.
- Prepare comprehensive pre-surgical care plans to optimize patient condition prior to surgery.
- Document patient assessments and care plans accurately in medical records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
- Adapt location and schedule as needed to meet changing business needs.
Compensation
- Hourly rate between $49 and $59, depending on experience.

Shift & Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
- Day shift with no call, no weekends, and no holidays.
- Work 3-4 days per week in Greeley and 1-2 days in Loveland (Tuesdays and every other Thursday).
- Schedule may be adjusted based on business needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Experience in Cardiology or Acute Care is preferred.
- Ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations and coordinate diagnostic testing.
- Strong communication skills for case discussions with physicians and anesthesia providers.
- Willingness to travel between North Colorado Medical Center and McKee Medical Center.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and locations.
- Current licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- COVID-19 vaccination required.
