About the Role

Join UHS as a Lead Chemical Dependency Counselor – Sign-On Bonus in United States.

Key Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Lead Chemical Dependency Counselor provides advanced clinical services for patients with acute substance use needs.

The role is responsible for completing comprehensive assessments, coordinating care, supporting the social work team with discharge planning, and leading clinical interventions for complex cases.

The Lead Clinician Manager also serves as a key resource for staff, supports program development and provides leadership coverage in the absence of the Director.

Key Responsibilities: Complete comprehensive ASAM 4 Level of Care Assessments and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system.

Requirements

Education: Masters degree in Social Work or Psychology required.

Experience: Experience working in acute care, inpatient or residential SUD settings.
