  • Start Date: September 2026 - January 2027 (FMLA Coverage)
  • Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
  • Grade Levels: K-12 students
  • Credentials: IL OT License required
  • Compensation: Starting at $47/hour (commensurate with experience)
  • Location: Maple Park, IL - Onsite Only

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing occupational therapy services to students in PreK-12 schools, helping them achieve their developmental, educational, and functional goals.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address students' specific needs and promote skill development.
  • Monitor and document students' progress towards goals, adjusting intervention plans as needed.

Provide consultation and support to teachers and other school staff regarding strategies to promote students' participation and success in the classroom.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for students' academic and functional needs.

Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of students' education plans.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Must hold valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state in which you live in in which you are practicing.
  • Must be Registered with the National Board Certification Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Passionate about working with K-12 students
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric occupational therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, computer skills (including email/ and Microsoft teams)

Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, handwriting without tears, and other therapeutic modalities (preferred).

Physical Requirements (Working in a School Setting)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and move around in various areas of the school facility. The employee must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents both verbally and in writing.

The employee may need to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds and may occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Additionally, the employee must have the physical stamina to supervise and engage with students throughout the school day.
