Job Description Join University of Chicago Medicine, as an Advanced Practice Provider in the Short Stay Unit. As the Advanced Practice Provider, you will be responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management in the general medicine patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- will be responsible for comprehensive direct patient care management in the general medicine patient population.
- will manage a caseload of patients and exercise autonomous decision making in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of delegated medical treatments.
- will provide healthcare and patient services that may include educational, research, and clinical nursing specialist support, and completing administrative activities under the direction and supervision of the Director/leadership.
- Must be certified as an Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse's Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Must have or be able to qualify for Illinois and DEA prescribing numbers Must have a minimum of 2 years inpatient, general medicine or hospital medicine experience as a PA or NP.
