Key Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist provides advanced-level cardiopulmonary care, including diagnostic testing, treatment, and patient monitoring. They also act as a resource for staff, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and educate patients and families on self-care techniques.
Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program and hold a current RRT license. Additionally, they are required to possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and other relevant clinical certifications such as PALS, ACLS, or NRP.
