Key Responsibilities
The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory therapy services and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies under physician direction. Responsibilities include operating mechanical ventilators, performing diagnostic tests, and responding to emergency code situations.
Requirements
Candidates must be graduates of a CoARC-approved respiratory program and hold a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in Pennsylvania. Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification are required.
