Position Summary

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You’ll collaborate with physicians, families, and care teams to provide individualized, high-quality therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapy for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning
  • Conduct in-service training and staff education

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active, unencumbered SLP license in South Carolina (required)
  • Must meet all federal/state requirements for SLP practice
  • Must maintain continuing education and good standing with the State Board
  • Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
