Position Summary
As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), you will evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You’ll collaborate with physicians, families, and care teams to provide individualized, high-quality therapy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapy for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Communicate with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning
- Conduct in-service training and staff education
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active, unencumbered SLP license in South Carolina (required)
- Must meet all federal/state requirements for SLP practice
- Must maintain continuing education and good standing with the State Board
- Experience in a skilled nursing or rehab setting preferred
- Familiarity with PointClickCare (PCC) and Casamba preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
