Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Eligible

This position qualifies for federal student loan forgiveness. After 10 years of qualifying payments while working full-time for a nonprofit employer, the remaining balance on your Direct Loans may be forgiven.

Key Responsibilities

Perform interventional procedures including angioplasty, stenting, and coronary diagnostics
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary heart team, including cardiac surgery, imaging, and advanced heart failure
Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiac care and consultations
Maintain thorough documentation and uphold clinical quality standards

Requirements

Outstanding patient experience ratings and community trust
A collegial, physician-friendly environment with experienced clinical teams
(Preferred not required) Participate in structural heart interventions, including TAVR, PFO/ASD closure, TEER, Watchman and other emerging therapies
MD or DO degree; completion of U. S.-based internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship
Board Certification in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology
Eligible for unrestricted Louisiana medical license

Work Schedule

Employment Type: Full-time, hospital-employed
Participate in STEMI call (1:3 coverage and about 50 per year) and ensure rapid response for emergent cases
