Key Responsibilities

The nursing faculty responsibilities include teaching assigned didactic lectures, lab, and clinical rotations in behavioral health (psychiatric) and medical-surgical nursing.

Other responsibilities include the coordination of outpatient behavioral health experiences and simulation instruction.

Nursing faculty members participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum and other activities pertinent to program accreditation.

Faculty serve as advisors to nursing students and are active members of assigned College committees.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in nursing along with an unencumbered Maine RN license. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience practicing in both behavioral health (psychiatric) nursing and medical-surgical nursing is required, though teaching experience is preferred.
