Key Responsibilities

• Monitor drug therapy regimens checking for interactions, allergies, unapproved abbreviations, and appropriateness of drug and dose, providing consultation and clarification to providers as necessary.

• Assists in directing pharmacy technicians and support personnel.

• Interpretation and accurate entry of medication orders and patient medication profiles.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited college of pharmacy License in state of Iowa as a registered pharmacist Continuing education in good standing.

• Performance Standards 1.

• ) Interpret medication orders (verbal/electronic/written) and transcribe to patient medication profiles accurately.

• ) Dispense medications accurately and timely.
