Responsibilities include the evaluation and treatment of impairments such as upper extremity function, ADLs, IADLs, visual and perceptual skills, cognitive needs, and requirements for adaptive equipment and assistive technology. Therapists will create integrated treatment plans practiced in patients' homes and communities, addressing functional goals creatively.
A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and state licensure are required, while a professional certification or Master's degree is preferred. Strong preference is given to candidates experienced in treating neurologically related disorders, alongside excellent planning, organizational, writing, and time management skills.
