Overview

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA)

Setting: Outpatient Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, Vestibular, Concussion, ReVital (oncology), Hand Therapy, and Neurology

  • Location: NovaCare Odenton, MD
  • Status: Full-time, 32-40 hours
  • Compensation: $29.00 - $38.00/ Hour

We are open to considering licensed PTAs for full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules. Full-time begins at 32 hours. You must have a Maryland PTA license to start. An ideal PTA has at least one year of outpatient experience. We are open to considering new graduates. Our multidisciplinary team provides on-site mentorship.

We treat a diverse orthopedic population, from teens to geriatrics, with specialty services including sports medicine, oncology (ReVital), neurology, vestibular, and concussion programs.

Part-Time Schedule

Our center operates Monday through Saturday. We are seeking part-time coverage on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Additional PTA coverage is available.

Responsibilities

Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.

Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures

Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

  • College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
  • Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
  • Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
  • CPR certification
