Key Responsibilities
- Provides experiential and expressive therapeutic activities, i.
- slow and restorative yoga, reiki, aromatherapy for sress and anxiety relief, exercises for strengthening and pain relief, etc.
- per established guidelines and protocols of the cancer center.
Requirements
- Works closely with the multidisciplinary team when patient referrals are made to have a better understanding of patient's needs, learning abilities, barriers to care, cultural beliefs, etc.
- to create a plan of care and goals of treatment.
- Tailors assessment tools to identify and address unique risks or opportunities, and documents all findings and activities in patient's medical records.
- Provides education materials and tools to patients and caregivers, establlishing a schedule and continue activities or exercises learned during the individual or group sessions.
