Key Responsibilities

The Guest Services Specialist focuses on direct care for guests, responding professionally to their needs and assisting in the development and implementation of a housing pathway. This role also involves connecting guests with necessary external resources like substance abuse, mental health, and medical services when the shelter cannot accommodate them.

Requirements

A High School diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of one year of experience in the Human Services field. Preferred qualifications include a valid MA driver's license, bilingual skills in English/Spanish, and knowledge regarding addiction, recovery, mental illness, homelessness issues, and area resources.
