Key Responsibilities

The role involves assessing patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, developing individualized treatment plans with defined goals, and completing necessary clinical documentation and administrative tasks. Responsibilities also include coordinating multidisciplinary care, educating patients and carers, and promoting professional ethics in clinical practice.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and maintain full membership with Speech Pathology Australia, demonstrating knowledge in assessment, treatment, and evaluation within the field. Essential requirements include the ability to independently apply clinical skills in dysphagia and communication disorders, manage a changing caseload, and possess strong time management and interpersonal communication skills.
