Patient Care Aide Inpatient General Surgery PT Days

Key Responsibilities

The Patient Care Aide assists with direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and recording measurements in charts. They also provide ambulatory support by assisting patients with walking, showering, and other prescribed therapies.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with current BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. At least one year of experience in an acute in-patient setting as a nursing assistant or unit secretary is preferred.
