Key Responsibilities

• Provide on‑site emergency physician services that meet or exceed American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) guidelines and contract standards.

• Be present on time for scheduled shifts; at no time may the Emergency Department be left without qualified physicians to provide clinical care.

• Apply or directly supervise the application of orthopedic devices (e. g., splints and braces) to stabilize orthopedic injuries.

• Follow all established medication policies and procedures. Do not provide sample medications to patients.

Requirements

• Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client

• specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies. Qualifications Basic Requirements/Certifications:

• Current, active, full, and unrestricted license as a physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Education Required:
