About the Role

Join UMass Memorial Health as an Attending Psychiatrist in Addiction Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts. Provide psychiatric consultation services to patients admitted to medical surgical units and the emergency room, focusing on addiction psychiatry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments in medical surgical units and emergency room.
• Collaborate with medical and surgical teams to develop integrated treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based psychiatric interventions including medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention.
• Educate medical and nursing staff on psychiatric issues and management of psychiatric emergencies.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case conferences.
• Document clinical encounters in Epic electronic medical record system.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
• Optional participation in weekday evening and weekend shifts with additional compensation.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Eligibility for Massachusetts medical license.
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.

• Salary range: $263,358 - $274,358 annually.
