Senior Mental Health Counselor

About the Role

Join Savannah College of Art and Design as a Senior Mental Health Counselor – University Setting in United States. As a senior mental health counselor, you will oversee individual and group counseling as assigned and consult with various internal departments. You will manage an active caseload of students with counseling needs and provide community referrals as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• include prompt documentation of student contact in a computerized system, crisis intervention with students, and participation in scheduled quarterly student orientations.

• Among other duties, you will maintain a personal schedule and keep it updated in both the master and computerized schedules.

• You will also notify your supervisor of staff development needs, participate in department performance improvement initiatives, and prepare your own PRs for supervisor approval.

• The ideal candidate can work comfortably within a multidisciplinary professional environment.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or psychology

• Training or experience with clinical supervision

• Training or experience in utilizing brief therapy models Certificates, licenses, and registrations:

• Independent licensure for at least three years with the ability to become a CPCS
