The Radiation Therapist operates CT simulators and delivers, verifies, and records routine courses of radiation treatment under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. They are also responsible for shift accountability, including machine warm-ups and communicating effectively with patients and families.
Candidates must have a vocational or technical degree in a related field and be a graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program. Required certifications include CRT-Radiation Therapist (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS).
