About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform crisis intervention with patient and/or family in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Explain and clarify to patients the purpose of the various treatment modalities and their functions and how such programs may be of service to them in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team in providing patient care in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Coordinate further treatment pertaining to substance abuse in accordance with hospital standards.

Requirements

  • High School or GED required, Baccalaurate preferred.
  • New York State Certification as Substance Abuse Counselor, required.
