Advanced Practice Provider (NP, PA)

Key Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice Provider diagnoses and treats acute or chronic illnesses and performs routine medical examinations for inmates or detainees. They are responsible for formulating treatment plans, prescribing medication, and interpreting diagnostic tests while maintaining departmental safety and infection control standards.

Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing or physician assistant program with a current, unrestricted state license and DEA registration. At least two years of advanced practice experience is preferred, along with the ability to perform physical appraisals and clinical procedures.
