The Respiratory Therapist will administer respiratory treatments, monitor mechanical ventilators, and perform critical-care duties such as airway management. They are also responsible for performing arterial punctures, EKGs, and assessing patient pain levels to ensure effective rehabilitation.
Candidates must hold a current state Respiratory Therapist license and have graduated from an AMA-approved School of Respiratory Therapy. A minimum of three years of cardiopulmonary or respiratory care experience is highly preferred, along with current BLS and ACLS certifications.
