Key Responsibilities

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for supporting and maintaining the respiratory system by providing therapy to patients according to physician orders. They work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver care to patients of all ages.

Requirements

Candidates must have training and experience as a Respiratory Therapist and be a certified Respiratory Care Practitioner recognized by the Iowa Department of Public Health. Familiarity with various types of respiratory therapy equipment and a desire to maintain competency is also required.
