Director of Patient Care Services (RN)

About the Role

Join Silverado Hospice North Houston as Director of Patient Care Services. Lead clinical teams delivering hospice care with compassion and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as role model and resource for nursing and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support clinical problem-solving and interventions.
• Collaborate on hiring, orientation, retention, and performance.
• Manage budgets for labor, pharmacy, and supplies.
• Coordinate care with RN Case Managers and physicians.
• Oversee patients requiring higher levels of care.
• Liaise between administration, clinical staff, patients, families, and community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing or related field.
• Current RN license in Texas.
• Active CPR certification; Hospice and Palliative Nursing certification preferred.
• Minimum 4 years hospice/palliative/home health experience.
• At least 1 year supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lead bereavement support groups.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours.
