Occupational Therapist OT Acute Care PRN

Join Inova as a Occupational Therapist – Acute Care PRN in Falls Church, Virginia. Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Acute Care team. This is role is PRN/as needed requiring at least 16 hours/month Inova is consistently ranked a national healthcare leader in safety, quality and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Documents evaluation results clearly and completely according to department policy.

• Completes discharge notes that include a summary of the course of treatment, progress toward goals, discharge needs, recommendations for follow-up and patient and/or family education.

• Communicates effectively with patients, families, medical staff, care team members, students, supervisors and outside contacts.

• Provides educational materials and methods appropriate to patients' level of understanding and motivation.

Requirements

• Education:  Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (OT).

• Licensure:  Virginia license in Occupational Therapy upon start.

• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart.

• Association upon start.
