About the Role

Join Childrens Rescue Fund as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in United States.

Key Responsibilities

Utilize assessment to establish the degree of risk for substance use and associated harmful behaviors and identify interventions required to promote progress towards recovery for the client.

Advocates for clients in securing emergency detox and rehabilitation care, and other community supports that promote integrated substance use or dual disorder treatment.

Will serve as liaison between OASAS treatment programs and CRF Transitional Housing Program.

Refer clients to services with providers with whom CRF has linkage/partnership agreements for services, as needed.

Requirements

CASAC with a Valid OASAS certification required.

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with a minimum of one (l) year of experience navigating the substance use and mental health systems in NYC

Associate degree (considered) with a minimum of two (2) years’ navigating the substance use and mental health systems in NYC

Work Schedule

Full-time position.
