About the Role
Join Childrens Rescue Fund as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize assessment to establish the degree of risk for substance use and associated harmful behaviors and identify interventions required to promote progress towards recovery for the client.
- Advocates for clients in securing emergency detox and rehabilitation care, and other community supports that promote integrated substance use or dual disorder treatment.
- Will serve as liaison between OASAS treatment programs and CRF Transitional Housing Program.
- Refer clients to services with providers with whom CRF has linkage/partnership agreements for services, as needed.
Requirements
- CASAC with a Valid OASAS certification required.
- Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with a minimum of one (l) year of experience navigating the substance use and mental health systems in NYC
- Associate degree (considered) with a minimum of two (2) years’ navigating the substance use and mental health systems in NYC
